Project Overview

This project involved the complete redesign and entry addition of a 2,500-square-foot home, where the timeless original design seamlessly extended into a newly renovated basement years later. The open-beam structure and preserved architectural elements, such as the stone fireplace, inspired a modern transformation while honoring the home's heritage. Natural woods and stone, contrasted with a sleek glass hearth, brought sophistication and warmth, reflecting the personalities of the middle-aged professional couple who own the home.

The addition of a new entry redefined the arrival experience, blending the home’s form with thoughtfully integrated landscaping. A standout feature in the powder room, a stunning amethyst stone, added a unique, luxurious touch to the space.

In 2023, we returned to complete the basement renovation, carrying forward the original design's intent. Clean, rectilinear lines and a minimalist approach balanced hard and soft finishes, creating an inviting environment for the couple's grandchildren to play, read, and enjoy time with their grandparents—ensuring the home’s legacy continues.
